It started with the same email, 400 times a week
Nora ran support at an online shop for six years. Most days she answered the same handful of questions, over and over, while the tricky ones waited. Theo was the engineer who kept trying to automate it, and kept hearing the same worry: “But what is it going to say?”
So in 2023 they started Bloop with one rule: an AI helper should show every step it takes, in plain words, and ask a person before it does anything risky. Three years later that rule still runs every agent we build.
2023
One rule, one desk
Nora and Theo start Bloop in a shared studio in Portland, with one rule: every step is written down.
2024
The first ten clients
Mostly bakeries, shops and clinics. The step log becomes the thing clients ask about first.
Today
52 agents, still six people
Agents live for 38 small businesses, and every one still asks a person before anything risky.
